BCS is a mess

I have voiced my opinion so much on the BCS, I finally thought that it was time to do more than write about it. So, this morning, on SportsFanatic, I did just that. This morning, my newest article, BCS is for Chimps, has a poll on it to cast your vote. I figured that people still have that voting frenzy built up from the election and they need to be able to get it out. What better way to do that than cast your vote for or against the BCS.

BCS bowl week preview

I have had a few people ask me if I was going to do a preview on the BCS Bowl games. I have been working in it, and I knew that I had to get some facts straight before I got into it. I hope that you all like the layout of the blog. Also, if you click on the banner about, it will take you to the BCS webpage were I was able to pull all the BCS logos used in this blog. Each image below will take you to the team's fox sports webpage or the bowl's fox sports webpage. Enjoy.

The first game off the block is and will sport 7th ranked vs 13th ranked . USC compiled a 10-2 record and the fighting Illini finished with a 9 - 3 record. Both of these teams can bring it on the offensive side of the ball, so we will have to see what the defense can do here. This game is set to air On January 1, 2008 at 2:10 p.m. (PST) following the Rose Parade.

Next, and being a Georgia native brings a lot of interest to me is the feature    taking on on January 1, 2008 at 7:30 CST time. Georgia had a phenomenal comeback to finish at 10-2, however, Hawaii is the only team to be undefeated. There is something wrong with that picture BCS committee. This bodes to be a barn burner. I am interested to see how Stafford and Moreno handle Hawaii's defense.

On January  02, 2008 @ 7:30 EST, the 4th ranked 11-2 take on the 9th ranked 10-2 in the . This game should be a good one as Oklahoma was the team to knock out of the national championship and West Virgina lost their shot thanks to at the end of the season. Wonder what happen to Mizzou in the BCS bid????

On January the third, 2008 at 8 PM EST will be the Jayhawks of vs the Hookie pride of in the . Kansas is coming into this game ranked 8 and Virgina Tech is ranked 3rd. Both teams have explosive offensives and powerful defenses. Which will win out.

This leads us up to the finale of all, the which brings in the 1st ranked 11-1 vs 2nd ranked SEC champions . This game has all the makings of a barn burner, but then again, so did last years game of Ohio State vs Florida and Florida tore it up. Well, I think that it is going to happen for a second year. My prediction is 48 - 35 LSU Tigers taking the national Championship home.

College BCS Championship: Where does your team rank at?

If you are a college fan, then you know that the prize can only be obtained by going to the National Championship Game January 7, 2008 which pits BCS No. 1 vs. BCS No. 2

As of Thursday, Oregon damages their chances of doing this by losing to Arizona 34-24. Ouch, the curse of number 2 has bitten again. Kansas, which looks to be real, still has to play Iowa State and Missouri. Missouri will probably be their strongest opponent left. They are currently ranked 5th in the standings. This will tell us if they are for real or if their cinderalla schedule is what gave them the boost.

LSU still has Mississippi and Arkansas left and I think that Arkansas will be there biggest challenge left.

Oklahoma, Missouri, and Virginia Tech all still sit in the drivers seat of their destiny.

My game to watch today is the   taking on the at 12:30 est.
